Freelander 1 SORTED NOW! Towing a 2wd FL1?

Is it OK to tow my AUTOMATIC 2WD FL1 TD4 just under 2 miles to my trusted mechanic? It's thrown off the auxiliary fanbelt.
I need to get it there ASAP, or garage won't be able to look at it.
Alternative is to drive it there keeping a close eye on the temperature gauge as water pump won't be driven...

Drive it a couple of miles but steering will be heavy!!

Managed to get it picked up by Green Flag. It should have been picked up first thing, but "got lost in the system".
