Clunk will be Watts linkage most likely or rear radius arms possibly, if it were props then it would be vibrating also.

Don't think air to coils conversion is a problem so long as the light is not illuminated.

Be as well to replace the full sill panels if she's a keeper, foot wells are a ball ache.

Cheers for the reply I will check the watts linkage as most of the bushes on this landrover are perished and the radius arms for play yea I will price up a sill and the footwells are gonna be a night mare but once there done it wont need touching for a while

Jesus that look like a big job broke out the trouble is u can soon open a tin of worms and the more you strip down the more you find which is what I think I'm getting into when I take off these stupid side steps tomorrow

It escalates real fast.

I kind of had a feeling it was going to be a bit of a slog but hadn't planned on it being quite such a marathon lol

Best thing you can do is to go further than you need and then Dinitrol coat it inside and out every year.

I had thought about dintrol but some one has given me a 5 litre tin of black wax oyl so I will use that this summer then dintrol next summer I like the idea of them box sections sills I might have to find some box section premade on ebay and weld them on I fear the worst is going to be footwells everything else should be straight forward but it a landrover it never straight forward.

I bought two 1500mm lengths of 3.6mm box from the metal store, only needs a slight trim on one end to get it to fit and then just cap the ends off.

120mm X 60mm X 3.6mm in 1.5m lengths
