I don't have much info on it, reddit popped up a notification for a subreddit "projectcar" that I wasn't aware I was in, had a scroll down, some nicely restored american vehicles, and some pieces of what I can only describe as utter sacrilige - this being one of the latter. The only info i've got for it is a comment by the dude who posted the pics saying "He built it for a trip to the arctic and it's just kinda sat since then."

This is what landrover used to be about:)
Now it's all about plastic side boxes and digital shïte:rolleyes:

Its a shame, really
Remember how we all looked forward to the return of the defender on the same lines of the recent past modern iterations of the G-wagen (not those AMG and brabus monstrosities), only for it to come out as a laptop on wheels.

I've a real G wagon at the garage for a gearbox. 1980, with the 350 6cyl engine. A proper tank. Drives like a tractor but a cracking off roader with factory locking diffs:cool:

To me this thing looks like it was the sort of build that was begging for a Defender 130 to be the base vehicle rather than molest a range rover into being something outside it's design envelope. One thing tickles me, if it was "built for a trip to the arctic", why lower tailgate on the load bed rather than on the cabin, meaning cabin the isn't enclosed?Good luck overlanding in the actric with a five square foot at the back of the cabin.
