Hi guys
I know its not everyones cup of tea but i've always fancied the idea of fitting a Rover SD1 2.6 engine into an 88, is this doable and what do you think.

I've only got 7 yrs before i retire :D

Yes. Think so. Very short rear prop. 6 cyl bulkhead. Don't know if the 6 cyl bell housing bolt pattern matches the SD engine, but I think so.

Agreed, why put a long 6cyl in when you can put a short 8cyl, doesn't make sense.

Well, if you are talking about sensible, why drive a Landrover? That's madness, a nice Korean hatchback on a PCP makes much more sense. Or so I'm told.

Do it because you want to, because you can, and because you've a 6 cyl engineer in the workshop.

But if it were me, I'd fit a V8.
