A mate has bull bars on the front of a Ford 4x4 pick up, he uses it for nudging cows to move in the direction he wants, not sure he'd try it on the bull though

My experience was you can push a great deal with them, but the one time you try pull something on it they snap off.

Once had a young lad start firms transit up at petrol station whilst in gear , hit my old Disco with steel frame on. I had a cracked spot lamp, head lost most of front including radiator. I was laughing plus rest of fourcourt, alas his boss wasn't when he turned up Anyway turned out he was too young to have been on insurance and they weren't covered. We inherited one from Saint! He loves them, I hate them! We sold it with the green Rangie.

Metal bull bars were made illegal after a certain year to save people who walked out into the road without looking from injury. The irony is massive.
