Saw this on Ebay Item no.111392257384. (I will learn to link one day)
Not sure how practical it would be for carrying loads, but looks good though.

Think I agree with you. Does look good but I wouldn't trust it beyond fishing rods or such like.

Have to agree though, anything weighty or big enough to generate drag would be unwise to carry with those roof bars.

Looks like someone got fed up with manoeuvring the roof out from under the standard bars!

If I did that I'd have to link to a steel tube/flat bar or something on the underside that should strengthen it up some..
