Hi all,

New member (not yet with a landy!) and currently driving something a bit different around the greenlanes of south wales. Stop and say hello if you see me or any of our new owners group out and about.

Come on chaps! You have to start somewhere!

And theres me thinking the landy fraternity would be welcoming!)

On the up side most Landy clubs have been a very useful source of advice so I can't moan and been helpful to us (apart from the geeza who gobbed off at me having no front numberplate originally!). I know they are different, and yes you do get beaten, wet and battered more than you comfy landy sprung seats but it's all good fun. :)

It has less rust though!

OH don't take no notice of us. In case you hadn't noticed we tend to take the **** a bit. It's what the forums about. As long as you have a thick skin and give as good as you get you'll be fine on here.

Still think you should look at getting 4wd fitted though??? Also I take it the engine is some form of MotorBike engine? If so has anyone tried fitting an GS1100 engine in one.

I gathered that! The 4WD Fiat option could be a consideration yes, mine is fitted with a Suzuki/Isuzu 650cc lump with a fixed diff at the mo, but there is a guy on YouTube who has fitted an 1100 Fireblade with a quaife reversing gearbox which trippled the speed to deathwish proportions.

Manufacturer does a turbo kit to 90mph (currently modded to 60mph) but it's a few K and you'd probably die a swift death!

And no I was'nt coming back from Ikea! I was just setting out to do Sarn Helen (uphill north!) which went fairly well!!!:D

Hope your not the ones who where on happy valley the other week tearing it up. There was a crowd of buggy's being reckless on the lanes and they where travelling in groups of 10 or more. If not welcome. If you was then !!!!

No mate.:( All of us are local or on the M4 corridor mainly. Not sure where happy valley is either! Reputable middle aged GLASS members, and this is the problem that we have, hence the new club. We either get banged into the Quad/Motocross rat-yoofed power rangers chinese import category or shot at by farmers.

Out of order really but we all know its the minority that spoil it for others.
We are just out to green lane sensibly and legally as per most of the Landy crews.

Nah just the one! The passenger has normally bailed by then!

Raised air intake using Landy snorkel methods does the job after a few mods, they are good for 15-20" of water max before electrics start moaning! Stupid place to put a battery and relay I say! :)

Mount it on rack just behing you're head and extend the wiring. That way you'll know when The electrics are about to get wet.

It'll be just after you've started gargling while asking where the passenger went.

Tell me about it I thought I had £300 in the bank. Just been and checked and I've only Got £100 and that's owed out. scarey thing is I had £350 cash in me pocket and the end of last week and that's all gone anorl. Fook knows where. Though just checked the mileage on the disco and I've done 450 miles in the last 2 weeks. so that must have swallowed a huge wad of cash without me thinking about it. Jeez it soon goes dint it.
