Hi
I only picked my 1989 landy 90 up just over a week ago and some thieving little b*#tard has already done my drivers lock, luckily my neighbour chased them off. I suppose I have been a bit slack with the security, i.e. not having any but now I have a disklok coming tomorrow, are there any top tips I need to keep my car my own. I was also told by the police that people just take bits off them when they are parked up, what sort of bits!!!!!
Thanks

The winch, the bumpers if they are decent. Wheels.

It seems parts are becoming increasingly more desirable.

You could build a brick type enclosure with a water proof top and make sure it is lockable.

Be cheaper to buy cctv system (£130 maplins) and a security light, £20-30 from B&Q :) i know its not a solution to the nikkin problem but at least it may put them off and evidence for police etc if they take anything?

I had a similar problem with the drivers door lock and bought a stop lock door lock which looked good on eBay. When it came it was about 7 inches long (ooohh eerrr) and solid, held on with 6 bolts. Looks daft but ain't anyone gettin in that door.

Cost about 35 quid. Am gonna do the same with the other 2 doors.

Cheers

Thanks for th'advice. Thought about wiring up to the mains, which, when activated sets off a shotgun which blows their legs off. I think this is more than a reasonable response.
