Hi all,
I've recently got my first Disco (1997 300tdi). Loving the driving experience but got a couple of problems I'd like some advice on...
The first is that there is a light blue smoke coming out at start up and signs of oil around the injectors / reclaim pipes. Is this the likely cause or indicative of the location of the problem causing this smoke? It stops smoking after a few minutes before the engine is at operating temperature.
I've read this thread and going to check out the info here but anything else would be useful....

Secondly, the drivers door lock is not coming down properly. The actuator from what I can see is working properly but it connects to a lever that translates the horizontal to vertical movement necessary to lock the door. This lever appears to be at a strange angle / bent and I don't know what this lever is called to order a spare. I called Land Ranger in Middlewich but the promised call back never appeared. :doh:
