Well as a British tax payer I find it astonishing that some tit employed to basically draw arrows cant even drive over a bit of dust without yet another ridiculous damages bill winging its way to our already depleted government coffers. I for one wont be sleeping soundly whilst in the full knowledge our shores are being protected by grunts that cant even plod along in an old tratter without causing chaos. For Petes sake dont get hold of a rifle or half the local population could be wiped out before you get a magazine in it.

Glad your safe................... :D:D:D:D:D:D

;)

I was evacuated by the time it got put right so I haven't seen the full extent but we can take from this that its not the end of the world for that landy.

Of course it's not - give it to some grease-monkey with a gallon of T-Cut and a ton of fibreglass filler in the MT section for an afternoon and it'll be right as ninepence.

Glad you got out of that one OK.

Got to keep REME employed somehow... Should you ever experience being in an exercise in remote tough climates knowing what I had been tasked with, I'd accept an opinion, and if you have, stop being old and bitter, we all have our moments.. But as a fellow British tax payer I'd boost the defence budget and slash benefits for the lazy. How else are lessons learnt? Nobody is born perfect. But thank you for your 50p

Thank you Brian.

I popped into the motor pool the other day and the technicians were scrapping a TD5 because they couldn't rectify a persistent steering fault  and had spent too many hours on it. That'll be another 30 grand tratter going to an auction middle man for £800

Your sexual exploits up Holcombe Hill are no business of mine. What happens between a grunt and his sergeant stay on the moors.
And for gods sake don't sympathise with the oik. He'll think your either a poof or taking the ****.

What's the army coming to. Bunch of girly lightweights.

If it is at Halton I'll liberate it and they can claim the insurance!

Glad you're ok.

I'm a doctor here in the UK, if there's anything I can do from a medical perspective just let me know.

Thank you payydg for your help. It's been a while after and at best I just get some neck ache, yet our medical officer didn't want to send me for physio too soon so I need to chase that up but generally I'm fine on some good painkillers.
Thank you Rosie and v8Geoff I am much better :). I'm continuing with the exercise because I'm a chairborne warrior anyway so let's see how it goes. Going into the FTX, final ex tomorrow so should be good!

I think the RAC do military discount which delights the RAF and saves them fixing these random land vehicles!
