Finally got me a decent cyclinder head through the mail.
Just a quick one, should I clean the soot and muck off around the valves or is it not worth it. And what would you recommend cleaning with? I would normaly use brake cleaner but have ran out, would alcohol cleaner work alright without damaging the head.
Ps. Head gasket at the min is a 3 hole. Should I go for a 0 hole (thickest)? I understand it's down to how far the pistons protrude past the block. As it's been skimmed I know it shouldn't effect it but should I go for the thickest or stick to the 3 hole. Cheersss
