Hello people,

I was wondering if anybody has any experience with dog guards for the D2, I am looking to get one but I don't know which is the best one to go for, I think I have settled on the mesh type. the next issue is which manufacturer Britpart, Land Rover, or another aftermarket make?

Any advice or guidance is much appreciated.:)

I've got a genuine one, does the job, however found that after a few months its a pain in the hole removing it all the time to make use of rear when the seats are down and carrying a load, fekin dog spends most of his time in the backseat now coz I'm too lazy to stick the guard in, keep promising myself that I will start using it again.
If you are buying the genuine 2nd hand you may need to buy a fitting kit from a dealer, most don't come with it. Think mine was around £15

just fitted a britpart mesh one. Its OK. Keeps mut in the back. I never drop the back seats so its not an issue for me.It works out well for both of us. He gets his own sunroof for ventilation, and I dont get dog slobber down the rear windows when he sticks his head out . The fitting instructions are all in pictures, so even my dickhead amigo could follow them. Plus if the GF gets ****ed and out of order you can throw her in the back and its like a Police van....result!!

I've got a Travall mesh type, haven't got a dog but it' great for stopping all kinds of crap flying 'round the passenger compartment when the back is loaded up for camping trips. Also gives loads of places to 'bungee' to. Try looking on e-bay for 2nd hand as someone else will have paid more than you probably want to!

Then....... ah yeah! good call  :D :D :D

I have just ordered a Bearmach one, its an OEM part :)

Have to say that although I have a lab and a retriever, Its main purpose will be so I can load the back up to the roof with camping stuff, and use bungees to put bits and bobs on :)
