Hi ,I have decided I need to sort this before I end up dead. I thought it was just normal LR brakes until I drove my parents 2.4 at the weekend.
Essentially the brakes are fine until I need to stop in a rush and then the pedal goes hard, almost as if there is no servo assistance.
Is this a common thing? Any suggestions about what could cause it? I think the vacuum is fine.
I have changed the pads and bled them a lot.
One thing I wasn't sure about during the rebuild, that brake balance valve thingy, I put the pipes back how I found them, but this is different from the layout in the workshop manual...
