P38A Socket size for diesel oil pressure switch?

Hi all,

Following on from the oil cooler muck up and loosing all the oil. Went to remove pill presspre switch and didn't have a big enough deep socket. Thought I would get one on way home tonight. Does any body know and be willing to tell me the size of the socket required? Thank you

Just for the records, in case anybody else searches 24mm. Just need to sort out the threads now and make an adaptor male oil pressure switch and female mechanical oil pressure gauge nipple...

You're putting an oil pressure gauge in? Nice idea. I always liked the reassurance it gave me and was disappointed when they stopped putting them on cars. Mind you, a friend's Disco doesn't even have a dip-stick!

If you have not bought the gauge yet have a look on ebay a lot come with the plumbing kit

Threads are M10x1mm for the pressure switch.



Most gauges use 3/8ths NPT and you end up needing a T piece, looks like so



I fitted a remote sender line on my 200Tdi Disco.

Can highly recommend the Durite oil pressure gauge, easy to read and not too difficult to fit.

I you want a plug and play remote sender line and T piece these are very good value.

You will need a 10mm ring terminal to fit an earth to it as you lose the earthing from the block.
