hi guys .....can I tag along......dont mind either play day or greenlanes...and reds....I do have an empty seat as mrs might not want to be out of the house... only problem is..some bugger stole my MT's 2 months back and am riding on road tyres now...

its true you need a winch and a **** load of goodie's to do the black route grunt mate..

had a look round but never ventured down the rock clamber or the black route's..mainly stuck to the blue route and a little of the red zone's

nice place in all fairness..just i don't think my skill or car could handel parts of it lmao

If its owt like Langdale the black route is the only one worth doing, an even then some bits are a bit tame. They reckon you need a winch an you probly do if you do the mud run but the rest is ok if theres someone with you to pull you out.

Frinstance I wouldn't fancy doing the rock climb cos of the damage you could do an at Langdale you'd just miss that bit out. So could you do the same at Tong?

Yup, Tong is quite an open site and you can opt out of any section you want. The Lillypond is interesting if you haven't got enough speed up and venture off the middle line without a snorkle...

We normally go for a drive around to see what bits are open and whats cordoned off and do a quick splash through the lake, the severe descent just near to it, then head off up to the mud run (Paul likes to be the only one to do it without being winched out). Marshalls are at all the tricky places to winch you out. After lunch we normally go exploring distant routes away from where most people play, and that's really good fun.

Usually we get there for about 10ish, brew in the car park, quick drive round, another brew and bacon butty from the burger van, and keep doing that till the light fails. Saw the Twisted Performance silver TD5 there last December - sounded better than me V8!
