Good to see you have found some lanes to drive.
I have found many people on this site to be friendly & willing to help with green lanes.

You may not have to join a club you don't like but they do a good job.
But It's Easier than asking a local ROW officer who does not drive the area.

As for Tcut buy it by the gallon if you want some lane info from me;)

You find all the low branches too do you???

I don't find low branches. Just nice quiet legal lanes that others don't find.

Nots so much NOT liking the answers but feeling like the ONLY way is to Join a group we don't want too.

Your choice but I do take some issue with you stating "Well least we know NOT to ask certain questions now..."

There's nothing wrong with the question or the advice given. PaulD is a top bloke and very knowledgeable. You might not like who he's area rep for but in your situation I couldn't give better advice than talk to him.

GLASS is spread a bit thin on the ground around my way so I've done the graft myself, studying maps, checking lane status, walking routes etc. I would have been very happy to talk to someone who already knew...but that's just me.

The reason we don't post lane routes here is it is publicly searchable by any mud Muppet that has bolted some knobblies to a motor that they're not worried about abandoning in a swamp of their own making and I'm not going to hand what lanes we have left to them on a plate.

Personally I don't like giving lane info to anyone I haven't met and got the measure of.

GLASS gives out reliable info in exchange for membership. They have little or no control over what anyone does with that info or who claims to be a member which appears to be your issue and to a certain extent I agree. The problem isn't that info can't be got elsewhere but that GLASS gives it out sometimes too easily.

The fact remains that for up to date reliable info the best advice is to do your own research which takes time and effort. Make connections with other laners, meet them, show them youre responsible, go Laning with them....which also takes time and effort.

Or join GLASS.
