did you drip oil onto your exhaust?

nope , checked exhaust first , had a tesco bag stick to it once , reet ****ty mess, stunk too., thort it might be from breather but no sign of smoke, yer kno if it was breathin heavy, but that is sucked in to the filter then burned up so...... am stuck , no sign of smoke in engine bay any more either

It coulda been a small amount and you have now burnt it off.

It'd take longer than a couple of mins but I thought you said the smells now gone?

i'd said the smoke in the engine bay has now gone, but any hows the smells there for sure, fookin stinks, are there any pipes that woud cause this, loose connections etc you'v come across? surly oil woud be gone after a day or so

hole in the exhaust? chaffing wire? heater motor burning out? was the smoke in the cab wispy or thick?

thin wispy smoke, exhaust is ok, no wire dammage as i can see, dunno about heater motor as dunt use it, so can cancell that one out!

will have closer look later at exhaust but seems fine all round

Check your ignition switch. Turn the key engine on and of a couple of times and watch for smoke. Thin wispy smoke is often a sign of imenant switch failure.
