Smoke from centre vent

Hi all, whilst driving up the motorway earlier, suddenly got white smoke coming out of the drivers side centre vent. Had ac on set to 20deg auto.

Deffo not coolant mist as know the smell of that.Can only think its either refrigerant or just cold mist as the evaporator was icy.

Anyone else ever experienced this one?

ice cold air hitting warm air causes mist and yes ive had it but not on a rangey or landy

I have not had it on the Landrovers, but did get it on my Honda quite a lot. There is a temp sensor for the condensor, perhaps that is on its way out - wait and see...

Thx for the replies, glad its not just mine then. After my engine overheat a couple of weeks ago I get very very panicked when I see anything that could be steam!

I do get the hvac testbook symbol once per journey so fair chance its related.Just waiting for a mate to get me access to a t4 kit so I can check out the fault code behind it.
