Just been out driving and have found that when i've turned the engine off the oil and battery lights stay on!
any suggestions?

did that! the key was out and in my hand! thats whats bugging me!
or is there another way? i've disconnected the battery but thats as far as my train of thought took me!

i disconnected the battery so that the lights would go off! would have been really worried if they had stayed on after that! lol
they when i parked up and turned the engine off the lights stayed on so i restarted to see if that would turn them off but it didn't work they were probably on about 5 mins before i disconnected the battery!

might be best to stick this in the deafener/90/110 bit.
sometimes sensible peeps wot aint beerd up are available to help yer.

Sounds like the ignition switch barrel is sticking internally, the bit that you normally feel push in as you put the key in.
You could try a little bit of WD40 in where the key goes using the little straw that always gets lost :)

Thanks for that but its developed into something completely different! lol nothings ever straight forward!
Oil light is now behaving but the battery light is on when the engine is on in an interesting variety of brightnesses!
She's running ok apart from that! Having the alternator check this week so fingers crossed it'll be sorted!
