Who has one fitted? What is the company like to deal with? Which package have you gone for?

My chassis is one step closer to me, so my rebuild should start in the next week or 2. I’m conscious that my security was good enough prior to the rebuild (the defender didn’t look too good, so wasn’t a real target in the village), but I don’t want anyone driving off with it after it’s finished.

I will be looking for an agreed value policy anyway, so that is covered. I will be getting some form of pedal lock, and steering lock, but after that it’s down to my “prior” level of security, all low level hidden switches that enable or disable certain features that would make it “stand out”.

I think the skytag looks good, but would rather some feedback.

Very responsive in their communications, great to deal with. I got my set up from Paddocks as they were at the time selling at a fraction of the cost of going direct to skytag.
I am a big fan of the Adrenalin pedal lock as it completely hides the pedals and is a stout and well built bit of kit. I like your mix of bought stuff and unique home spun defence, thieves cannot plan ahead for one off security so it should slow them down.

That was my thoughts when installing them. I forgot in the original post, that it’s registered on the ISR too (not sure how good/bad this is though).

I never thought of going to a 3rd party to purchase it. I will have a shop around.

Thanks for the heads up on that pearl lock. Does it bolt through the floor? Are all the bolts secured? Does it stay fitted when not locked?

It does not bolt to the floor, I strap mine down in the back of the vehicle when not in use or put it on the passenger foot well on short journeys. I put a few pics in a post some time ago, you will find it in the Expeditions forum on this site in a post started on 24/2/18 titled "Collected my new overland vehicle" , my post is Nr 11.

Isr etching and marking is a good idea. If it disappears then anything on it to assist promoting it's true identity increases the chance of it being found and/or traced.
