i am just reassembling the rear axle back on my s3 after replacing springs, shocks, bushes, brake lines etc...
Should the bolts on the leaf springs have washers? The pdf manual didn't show any but I think there were ones fitted when I stripped it down. Was just going to put plain washers under the nuts on the spring fronts only, would this be correct ?

Thanks, Richard

Mine didn't have any, though I added one where one of my chassis mounts looked as though it could do with the force from the nut being spread a little more as there was a hexagonal indentation. I'm going to tighten mine in the morning - remember to set it to the middle of the suspension travel when you tighten the bolts.

if the nuts are lock nuts etc as std on spring securing bolts then no,spring washers are for std nuts
