silly question fitting 265 75 16

hi all just got a landy 200tdi disco. ive just bought a set of 265 75 16 tyres.
on the guide thingy it says.

Rear fender trimming
Front endcap trimming
Steering stops
Possible bump stop height.
Spacers needed for spare tire

what id like to know is what requires trimming? i dont understand what a fender or endcap is
also what requires doing with steering stops?
what requres doing with bump stop heights?

Rear fender trimming = rear bumper
Front endcap trimming front bumper corner pieces
Steering stops bolts on the swivels that adjust how far the wheel will turn
Possible bump stop height. = stop the suspension from moving up and allowing the wheel to hit the top of the wheel arches fit extended bump stops or just fit a 2nd std bumpstop to the existing one.
Spacers needed for spare tire = Try turning the wheel carrier upside down as this usually works.

You'll need to trim the rear arches. You'll also need to trim or remove the front bumper end caps. Depending on what kind of wheels you're using you might not need to do any of the other things. Best way is to bung them on the disco and see what's in the way and chop accordingly. Do a search it's been covered loads of times on here.

turn your spare wheel carrier up side down no need for spacer and steering stops is the bolt on the swivel cup thingy turn it out so that the wheels dont rub when on full lock

That's good it's easier without the back doors in the way though you might not need to cut the front of the rear arches if you know what I mean.

i will invest in some extended arches those flexi ones if i have to cut arches. and then i could run some spacers as well.

Dpending on how much offset your wheels have you probably won't need extended arches. I've got 265's on modular steel wheels on mine and they don't stick out too far.

got them on guys, needs lifting 2" to get it to look just rite lol. gunna start saving pennys for winch bumpers, guards for steering, diffs etc and of course 2" lift kit.
heres how she sits.

Damn, you aint gotta lotta room in thum there arches fella. As a quick fix you can get 2" spacers, which fit between the axle and the spring plate. Cost about £40.00 off fleabay, til you got enough dough for the full monty

I am running 265 75 16 on mine

I fitted longer bump stops and did a camel cut (go search for it its easy to do and still makes the car look like a standard shape arch)

My wheels are modular ones so with the offset I didnt need to adjust my stops and my spare goes straight on no messing

I have a winch bumper so cant comment on trimming front bumper but I didnt need to trim the back of my front arches. Havent needed to trim the front of the rear arches either.

Flexi arches arent cheap or wheel spacers and I would really only bother with them if I was going for a lot bigger tyres
