Noticed that I get a build up of dirt just below the fuel cap, in the small channel where the panels meet.

Low priority, but as part of my wider measure to manage corrosion, I was planning to pipe some black sika flex sealant, so that water and dirt can’t pool here.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Your fuel filler neck grommet is missing. Find on the Flebay.
I’ve just replaced the fuel filler neck with a new one.

The issue is the sill underneath this.

See the photo attached.

Ok. Looks like Adflex Polyurethane Sealant... "is resistant to most automotive fluids such as diesel fuel, oils, anti freeze and alkalis as well as water and steam"

Added to basket.

Thanks for the advice.
