Shropshire lanes

This site contains affiliate links for which LandyZone may be compensated if you make a purchase.
No problem, the cover comes from an indemnity fee which is on top of the purchase price (so don't forget to factor that in when buying). There's a lot of utility company vehicles go through (electricity, etc etc), I don't think you have to pay the indemnity fee on those. You can watch the auctions live on your computer, 11:00 on a Tuesday I think.

Update on issues at Stokesay castle
Great news regarding Stokesay castle

"Dear all,

The railway crossing is due to have automatic gates installed and as the mechanism is not yet working a chain had been looped over the post to keep it shut. It was not locked.

Network Rail are concerned about how the crossings are being used as it appears people are opening the gates individually and leaving the vehicle waiting on the railway line. The correct procedure is to open both gates before crossing.

NR are interested in having more contact with users and the Rail Crossing Manager for the area, John Wilson, would welcome a call from you. His number is 07808245429.

We do not intend taking any more action on this matter.

There are no cameras on that crossing so I dont know where they are getting that info from. Its possible the landowner is feeding them that info as hes not overly happy with 4x4 using the lane

Had 5hrs laning around Church Stretton today. Solitude and spectacular views. Just what the doctor ordered. Didn't see another person all day. Had planned going further afield but saving those lanes for Sunday.

Ha!!!
5 hours with a axe and chain saw was my day ( hot hot hot!!!)
Off topic but this weekend is the Stretton Medieval fair going to be busy and road closures in town.
