Show me your Raptor dash!

Right, in a classic case of "mission creep", the fitting of proper 110 seats to my SW ended up with the fronts being leather, and heated, so now I need somewhere to put the switches, so I'm thinking it's time for a Raptor Dash.

I reckon I'll order one with the top panel going (from L to R) CB radio, 3 x 52mm gauges, and the bottom will have 8 switch holes. Top 4 will be auxilliary swithes, bottom 4 will be left seat heater, right seat heater, 12v socket, USB socket, then the DIN stereo. I'll mount the rear wiper switch on the lower sloping part as let's face it, it does not get much use.

Interested to see other people's setups, or any "I wish I'd done this" comments!

Here's mine. I drilled the hole for the gauge after I bought it and got another one coming to fill the gap. Make sure to order some stainless allen cap heads to replace the steel ones they provide as in a damp land rover they rust fairly quickly. You can either get them as an option when you order or do what I did and order a load on ebay and now I have loads spare.

Here's mine. Binnacle, mount & trim-panels are Raptor as well.
Since then I have re-fitted the console under-tray. Didn't fit very well with the manual 'box as I could not adjust the gearlever sufficiently to stop it clashing but since changing to auto this was never going to be an issue and is a very handy space.

Toying with either the raptor dash or the mud version for mine. Gotta be honest, the Raptor one looks better so this thread has made the decision for me!

How do you secure the radio and CB? Do you have to cobble/manufacture some kind of brackets and work out some fixings to hold it in place?

I personally don't like the raptor dash, the mud dash is better and it think look more authentic, just my opinion

Left to Right - Oil pressure, engine temp, volt gauge

Map light is a Durite LED item, gauges are also Durite (including the fuel, temp & volts in the binnacle).

The raptor metal instrument panel behind the steering wheel - I can't understand why they dont make a cover for the heater sliders on the far right. Kind of puts me off replacing my damaged plastic, knowing I'll still have to screw another plastic panel to the end of it all!

I agree about the slider cover. It'll look crap bolted to a new binnacle.
Saying that, there is no way I'm going to pod out for a replacement plastic binnacle just so the heater slider cover don't look quite so bad!!!

Sorry don't know, it was in when I bought it.

Well, I finally got mine installed and I'm quite happy with it. I wanted something that would be really "cohesive" and look reasonably "factory" so I went for ally, to pick up on the gear knobs etc, and there will be some more ally trim coming down the line. Ditto binnacle surround too...just need to fit it.

I went for a blue theme...by luck my CB and stereo both have blue displays, so I went for blue guages (ignore some of the readings as I'm waiting for a T piece and a banjo bolt to wire up the boost and oil pressure senders, but all the wiring is in and led through the bulkhead). Raptor did me a custom cut for the tiny Team ME4 CB and I went for custom holes for the 20mm blue LED rocker switches...none of which do anything yet, but they match the switches that came as part of the Exmoor seat heating kit. I relocated the rear wash wipe to the underneath of the dash and it works fine there, plus only used 2 of the 4 blue LED footwell lights and pushed them up well into their mounts so they only give a small amount of light.





It's a really well made product and a very helpful company, however the time to fit it is waaaaaay in excess of what the instructions say! But overall it certainly "lifts" the interiro no end.
