Should there be oil under transfer box lever?

Just a quick and probably dumb question. I'm doing the clutch on my '06 110. I've taken off the transfer box lever and there's oil underneath as you can see.

It makes sense to me that it's there, to lubricate the linkages, but they are also smeared in grease. I've drained both boxes and the engine and the oil's still there.

So should it be there? If so what do I fill it with before I put the lever back on?

no but often is, the shaft in the extension housing can be removed and o ring replaced ,need to remove housing from box good 5mm allen key needed and pin punch to knock roll pin out can be tricky,if its not leaking out down the box i wouldnt worry too much ,
