Shall I cut the blades off me fan ?

Is the fan on a 3.9 V8 left or Right hand thread please or is it easier to CUT THE BLADES OFF

Used to remove about an inch off the ends of a Mini fan to reduce the drag on the engine.

Left hand thread, do not cut!

I would stick an electric fan on from the breakers mucker them things seem to overheat a lot.

The mini had more power in the starter than the engine, when you cut em you also cut the flow just the same as taking the cowling off because it sucked the air through and a bad idea.

If you go electric fit the fan on the grille side of the rad and the thermal switch at the top of the rad. The kenlow switches are not so good so look for another type.

Thanks, L/H it is then and if it wont come off then the blades are being cut off

Now I understand. thought you were going to cut blades and keep viscous fan - not wise as the fan would be out of balance.
