As it happens, I reckon such a result would be kin fantastic!

Having only really known yourself and Emma for a year or so in real
terms (outside of usenetland) I can honestly say that you're ideally
suited and I'd love to see ancklebiters follow. Look at it this way,
they're an ideal means of getting the 101s washed in later years :)

I guess there's something odd, yet quite nice about the Landie thing
being the catalyst for people getting to know each other - it builds a
true fraternity, aside of religion and politics, and I'm all the
happier for those I've met through the Green Oval. Simon and Dawn are
a good example - came up to say 'what the heck is that' (Grumble does
that to folk) at a show a few years ago, and have become very valued
within our list of people we 'give a **** about'. Yourself and Emma
are are ranking it in there too - as, (sadly!) are the other growing
bunch of slightly insane idiots, cite Austin, who are becoming a part
of the 'unofficial' gatherings (I actually think Austin is totally mad
- prolly why I have such a soft spot for him!).

Members of our true family do not need to be genetically related :)

I really appreciate all the effort you put into the gathering last
weekend - it really was a quite smashing 'do' and so good to meet old
- and especially in the case of Martin and Lynn, 'new' members of the
fraternity (all 4 of them!).

Go on, start bookmarking Mothercare - you know it makes sense.
Our children are the ones who stop us going too eccentric in later
years you know! :)

Best set a date for next year soonish, so we can get a few more of the
regulars to book leave well in advance...

nah, we obviously need Dave French's 6-wheeler for that. 's even painted in
nice bright colours now... and from what I read, it's not misbehaving too
badly down in Africa.

Oh Bollo...

I can vouch for the quality of Hook Norton 'Double Stout'.

Still, at least I didn't say anything nasty about anyone! :)

A mate of mine (and yes it was a mate, not me) had a very bad experience in
a Mini. The lady he was with was deployed in the only possible position on
the back seat and he had both front seats lifted forward. At the crucial
moment, in an attempt at sprog-avoidance, he moved smartly backwards and
slipped. Remember those long gear levers in the early Minis? Apparently it
took half an hour to get him off it (and half a box of tissues on the gear
knob before it was fit to drive again). The girl nearly died laughing when
she related it to us in the pub the next night.
