Severe vibration near side front disco 4

Hi ,any thoughts on what could cause severe vibration to near side front ,was driving today at 2 different speeds when front near side started to vibrate to the point where I had to slow down for a while then vibration went away and was back to normal first was at 50 mph then on return journey at 70 mph,have had issue with near side front having a wobble as though it was out of balance and under light braking since bought it, it is going back to garage next week for oilleak, just after some info.

If you steer slightly left and right when at speed, when the problem occurs, does it go away or alter?

Not sure, as it went away after I had slowed down, but have done some research and have a feeling low transmission fluid as the gear changes when cold seem to take a long time to change up when accelerating ,it has had a oil leak since I bought it a few weeks ago,which they are going to pick it up next week to sort,they did a service on it before it was delivered and possibly changed transmission oil and sump fillter to gearbox ,have parked it up for now until I speak to garage ,don't want to take risk in destroying gearbox.
