service

Could anyone out there recommend a decent land rover specialist in or around the Aberdare area? Ive had the car 4 months and its only done 22000 miles, but the last 3 services were done by an ordinary garage in North Wales.

I want to have a full service done and was also thinking about having it re mapped.

Any advise would be most appreciated,

Hi Steve and welcome!

Before you go running to the dealers for your your service have a good search of the forum and do the service yourself.You cannot trust the dealers to change the most vital parts to keep your freelander in good running order,ie crankcase breather filter.turbo filter and the fuel filter just to name a few.These parts are fairly to cheap to buy but some are a little time consuming (not difficult with the help and advice from the guys & girls on here)but something dealers tend not to bother with.Keep any receipts you have when you do your own work this is better in my opinion then any dealers stamp in your service book.you don't say what model you have diesel or petrol.As for the remap get your car in good running order look for a remapper that does a full diagnostic check and go for it.Enjoy
