Well I have just been scanning some old photo's and thought you guys would like to see some of them, The quality isn't too good they have been knocking about for about 30 years, The first few are of my 80 which I purchased in the early 80's. It was used by Duffield cricket club to pull there gang mower. On the log book it was a 1948. The chassis was galvanised and didn't need any welding, the bumper I think was original factory and it also had self adjusting brakes, As I remember I paid £200 for it and sold it for £1500 though took a 107 pick-up in px

Next up is my 86. Started of with a 2ltr then a 2.6 rover 100 then a 3.5. I made the bonnet and grill but latter changed it back to standard panels for trialing.

Thats awesome, whatever happened to it?
It looks very similar to this one -

I sold it to a bee keeper who said he could get 12 hives in it. The body was well made very solid, it didn't flex much even offroad although the down side was when of to events my mates would chuck there spares in then zoom off in there range rovers and I would be at the back of the convoy plodding along.

Did you keep the standard gearing in it? Would be slow but torquey like my 1-Ton. Did you get any other photos of it? Funnily enough thats not the first IIB I heard of earning its keep moving beehives...

Yes it was all standard, no rust anywhere it did 60 no problem and kept on pulling right down to about 1,000 rpm. as I remember I paid £450 for it. Unfortunately I don't have any more pic's

60? Very impressive...mine will only do that after putting up a fight. Shame you didn't get more photos, but then I think the same about every car I ever sold. Do you know what the reg was?

No I can't remember the reg. I think it drove nice because it was low mileage and well maintained. A mate of mine at the time had a 1 ton with a 3ltr straight six the one with the weslake head and huge SU and another had a 2A swb with a 105S engine with the twin carb set up and yet another had an ex emeb 109 1 ton with sailsbury's front and back.

I know of one surviving EMEB 1-Ton, its on my website along with photos of some others that do not seem to be with us any longer. The surviving one has Salisbury axles IIRC, its certainly from the right time, being a 1973/4 series III. I know they were fairly common in enthusiast circles at one point but most seem to be long gone now.
