Series III Wiring Diagram

Hi Ive got a 1976 diesel swb, and someone has in the past played about with the wiring so it does strange things, I was wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram so i had a base line where to start from, I also need to work out what warning lamps are normal and what have been added as nothing on the instument pannel seems to work where its meant to LOL

, but hey its old and got charm, so if some one has got a diagram or a manual or even a link to where i can download one it will save me making my own,:doh:

Cheers for that, would it be the same as a series 2? I think mine is a Neg earth.
but looking at that diagram i think one of my lamps will be low fuel which is a start.

can you advise me if the blue lamp to left of the wiper switch is the low fuel lamp, also what is the red lamp at the top between the dials, mine seems to flash some times on not others lol

okies the blue lamp on my s3 is the full beam.....have you got a series 2/2a dash ? the oblong metal rather than plastic ?

My S3 is petrol and I haven't got one, but the diesel wiring diagram shows a low fuel light.

Yes I saw that thanks, but can someone tell me what the red lamp at the top of the dash in-between the speedo and fuel/ temp gauge does, I saw a dash for sale on fleabay and it had a lamp there too

the red lamp on me series goes on when i turn the key then goes orf when the engine starts....i'm sure a gene arse on ere will give yer the tech term fer it

The light was originally fitted as an option as an indicator warning light for use when towing electrics were fitted,if it didnt flash when a trailer was connected an indicator bulb had failed.

Hi thanks for that, its all become clear now, i had a bulb out and hadnt realised, which is why it was flashing.
