Hi All,
I have a 2.5TDi Transit engine fitted to my Series 3. It's been laid up since last September whilst I've been renovating the bodywork.
I changed the cam belt & water pump yesterday, re-fitted/re-filled the radiator, and started her up to bleed the system (it started first turn). When I started it, I'd left the dipstick out of the tube. After a period of running, oil had leaked (with some force) from the tube:

I stopped the engine and checked the breather/pipe: this was clear, but wet with oil. I then removed the turbo to inlet manifold pipe:

I can't feel any excessive play in the impeller, so I don't think the turbo seals are at fault. Other than ring wear, can anyone suggest what else may be causing this pressure build-up? There's no smoke when running, it's as clean as a whistle!
Cheers,
Lew
