series 3 swb wheels

I am still working on re-building my series 3 1971 swb and was casually looking for a set of wheels and tyres.
I came across this offer from John Richards

Are their any forum opinions on this combination but the Wolf wheels would look good.
Also if anyone has a alternative suggestion of where to get a set that would be good. I seem to recall years ago a Landrover specialist shifting lots of ex MOD wheels and tyres but cannot remember the name.

Are you expecting a full set? Reading that, it looks like it's a single wheel and they only have one available...

I'm interested in this, too, as the wheels are showing rust and the tyres on my rebuild are at least 15 years old. At least 2 need replacing (showing cracks) and I've only been able to find one matching replacement (Mud Plugga), so I'm assuming I may well need to get a new set to keep everything matching. Not desperate to replace the wheels, too, but if they come as a package (at the right price), that would be useful.

Might be worth a telephone call to John Richards to see if they have a set otherwise I'll keep searching.

Personally I like the the deeper dished ones they fill the arches on a Series 3 better

It says "removed from trailers" beware as the MOD sometimes marked the tyres "trailers only" - my ex-MOD Sankey tyres are like that. Check first.
These are big and heavy, and the tyres will make quite a bit of noise on the road. They are about twice the weight of a standard SWB wheel/tyre.

Now don't quote me but just check the offset and stub size of what you buy, recently been reading up we have 5 wheels with 4 different part numbers according to some websites the off set is different, but when we measured it its all the same, best to check

I think 4x4 tyres do both kinds et0 and et20 paddock just do the et20
