Hi All,
I'm rebuild a series 3 station wagon for my sister.
Its a swb. Its 1977 but it will hav 93 disco axles and drive train plus 200 tdi and all important power steering.:)
Any ideas about wiring looms and where can i get a new dashboard.
And all important this has to be ready 16th dec 2009.
So any suggestions will be taken on board.

Or you could just buy a 90Tdi??? Ive nothing against upgrading a series but when you have changed engine/gearbox/trans box/props/axels whats the point of having a series? Sell it and get a 90:crazy:

If you run into any problems fitting disco axles, try PMing TheSmiths88 (I don't think he's on here that often) - he's just fitted a front disco axle onto a IIA and it sounds like it was quite tricky because unless you make some alterations the track rod fouls the leafsprings apparently. As for the dashboard, I'm a bit tight, so I stripped off all the cracked plastic and foam from the upper dashboard and painted the steel structure underneath - it doesn't look too bad. I think you can get wiring looms from John Craddock.

As regards buying a 90 they cost to much money here in ireland.
Plus it will be 40 euros to tax the series 3 as it is over 30 years old.
it will be a series 3 with a twist.:bolt:
