Series 3 New Seat Box & Floor - Do I Seal??

Hi, replacing the seatbox and floors in my series 3 - there was a butyl seal along the top of the old seat box against the bulkhead but nowhere else. As I put in my new seatbox (the old one had been butchered beyond use) should I use butyl or similar to seal all the contact edges, middle bulkhead, door sills, and then should I also seal the floor where it meets the seatbox, front bulkhead etc?
 
Yes.
You'd be surprised where water will shoot through hitting a puddle or suchlike at speed.
And draughts.
 
finally getting around to installing the new (recon) seat box, new runners etc so will seal with butyl across the middle bulkhead. What about sealing the new floor though to the bottom seat box edge, transmission tunnel, and bulkhead apron - has anyone used neoprene strips as an alternative to butyl?

I used neoprene tape all round and did not bother with the butyl when I did this on the 110.
 
I use neaporene tape or gutter sealing mastic. I like the gutter seal because it stays flexible and is relatively easy to separate but it sticks enough to stop rattles.
 
Thanks for the replies - I've gone with neoprene strips top and sides. Should there be a rubber pad between the 2 chassis mounting points (either side of the gearbox), and the seatbox?
 
I think they uses something quite hard, more like a 1/16 plastic which breaks the galvanic connection, If rubber holds the water it wont stop the corrosion but acutally make it worse creating a little damp cell..
