series 3 front/defender front

i dont suppose theres anyone( nearish to manchester ) that fancies swapping the defender front (bonnet, fiber glass front panel ,headlamp surrounds and grill ) off mine for the equivelant bits from a series 3 ,previous owner of mine has made it look like a defender and i want to return it to series 3 spec .............. just wondering ?????

thats xactly my thoughts ,and besides almost no one waves to you in a defender

there probably is but i thought id try on here first in case anyone fancied defendering their series 3 ,horses for courses an all that ,my missus prefers the defender front ,but i dont think you can do better than the series 3 front

they were very understanding honest ,thing was wed walked past them minutes earlier with our dogs ,my plan was to drive down past them ,but some idiot ignorant ramblers had blocked the approach despite it bein well signed as a through road ,so i had to take a bit of a detour when we got back to the landy and approach it from the other direction ,almost as good tho cos that way you have to drive down a very steep ,narrow lane at the side of a very pretty church with a tea room etc ,and sevral people obviously thought i couldnt get the landy down it form the looks on their faces lol

hang on a minute, how the **** did i get dragged into this, i aint said nuffink. owning a landy is about personal taste, if you wanna put a series front on a defender then go for it, but remember your rad is sitting at the very front. its an easy enough swap the other way around but i think you might struggle with the rad and intercooler as well as some other bits , good luckl and let us see some piccies

Have to say tho', dint ask what injun's in it or how it's laid out? I wuz under the impreshin it was just a bodywork lookeelikee without injun mods?

ah so really yer mekkin a series back into a series then

thats the idea ,not too bothered bout the screen ,but the front end has to be changed ,then when funds allow ,the van back will be going and a truck cab fitted instead

Jeez you make an off the cuff comment about getting more focused about all the projects you've got on the go and somebody starts offering bits of your Landy to people

What you didn't know Yella is that there are a couple of Series wings and a front panel in the back of the IIa

Mr Ice - I'm a bit busy at the mo but should get time at the weekend to drag the bits out and take a couple of piccies if you're interested.

might be intrested in the front panel if its decent mate ,wings shud be ok coz mine are series ones anyhow ,unless they got the series light surrounds on em,and you wont split the surrounds ,mines even still got a rusty crusty series front panel behind the defender one (ive just peeked through the grill ) lol
