Series 3 ex MOD 1977

Just bought a 109 as above its not arrived yet but from the pictures I can see a metal box between the front seats, anyone know what It Is for ?. Is the military chassis different to civilian one?,

military chassis is different to civvy as for your box no idea without seeing it all sorts of bespoke mods on military vehicles depending on its function

It was or is a FFR [Fitted For Radio] and the box between the seats held all the scary 24 volt gubbins etc. Has it been converted to 12 v or is it still 24v? Distributer is VERY different on FFR - as are the plugs.................. you'll also have a weird "convoy" light switch - loads of fun.

Yes It has been converted to 12v, I can see a rotary switch above the gear levers in the dash board and It has a full canvas but apart from that I cant see anything out of the ordinary. It will be about three weeks before I see It so will get to check what It has still fitted then.
