Yes, it's another one of those threads...sorry but I've searched here and on t'internet and can't find the info I'm after.

I purchased a new set of Series 3 door tops and bottoms for my ninety body for £200 on flea Bay. They will be arriving in the next few days. My old defender push button style doors are way beyond repair and the window mechanism fails every week or two. So I'm fed up with them and want to go to the series 3 doors with slidy windows and removable tops.

My question is about the locks and that striker thingy. I have seen a set of Anti-Burst locks on Paddocks:
Part Number 395038 - Door Handle LH - Anti Burst
Part Number 395037 - Door Handle - RH Anti Burst & Defender Rear Safari Door

What striker do I need? Is it the same that's on the back door?
Can someone that has already done this please let me know?

Thanks....

i have series style door bottoms with rockymountian tops on my 90 and the antiburst locks use the same striker plates as the standard windup window type doors.

I personally love the series 3 style doors and consider them to be far superior to the modern defender style.

Can anyone shed some light on where I might be able to purchase new doors, or rebuilt ones other than fleabay?

I think craddocks/paddocks do them new...ching ching...for some reason the series doors seem on average to last better than fender doors..i have series doors and think they're far superior and great to take tops and roof off in summer..i gave about 60 quid for the pair!!! Then i got 100 for my rusty fender doors and went to the pub!

My early 110 lift handle / sliding window doors will not fit the catches in my 1990 90.
