Hi, I am looking at selling my series 3 109, 2.286 petrol land rover, it will be sold as a non runner, needs a bit of welding in the passenger side footwell. Any interest just ask and I'll send details. Been a member of the forum for a few years. Owned this one for three years, work commitments leave me no time to carry on with it.

Is it totally fubar?
It turns over but I cant get it to catch, it ran absolutely fine once it did, I put a new carb on it, new distributor cap, new leads and new rotor arm, it runs on an electronic ignition. The last thing I done was to check the starter motor, I thought it was turning a bit slow, opened it up and one of the brushes had got stuck and worn down. Replaced the brushes but have not put the starter back on yet, as I was working away. I dont really have the time to mess about with it anymore.

Is it made of rust or metal?
Kept indoors or left outside sitting?
Hope you don't mind me asking.
It's a long way to have a look

No problem, I have owned it for 4 years, it's always parked in the road opposite my house, the Chassis looks ok, the bloke i bought it from had a new rear quarter put on it some time before I purchased it from him, the footwells definitely need attention. I can take some photographs and send them to you if you want.

Possibly.
I'm viewing a 109 over the weekend so I'll let you know rather than ask for them now.
Thanks for your time so far ☺️
