series 2a recovery truck

Hi there guys I'm new to the site I'm currently building/ restoring my 1971 series 2a recovery truck .I got it a few months back of a friend of a friend I have currently stripped the landy down to just engine bulkhead and axes .I'm I the process of attempting to fabricte my own copy of the shassis as the original one is rotten to the core also I have been trying to find out any information on the type of companies who bought these trucks new and what there purpose was obviously it was some form of recovery vehicle but who had them who used them an what happened to them all .any information well appreciated also how hard is it to line the bulkhead back up when refitting

Cheers trax I been after another 2a ever since I lost my series 2 fire truck ; ( times were hard bk then lol I have a thing for commercial vehicles

well, you still have a crane and an ambulance to collect

Has anyone got any ideas what these trucks are worth nowadays with the end of the defender an all that ?????

A crane sounds right up my street soon be moving timber hahaha I have owned a Ford transit ambulance it was converted to a motor cross weekend truck good times
