Breathers are good. the axles were fully rebuilt (including new breathers) and repainted. It has only ever been used on the road since.

I live with the slight weep, I know its keeping the seal lubricated. Its worth checking bearing pre-load, if the shaft moves when hot the seals can't seal. I have this issue with my rear output shaft, I've got the speedy sleeve on order, a new seal and will have to re-shim the pre-load. New seals and a polish of the flange have not completely fixed it in the past.
