hi out there.
just joined this forum, and i'm looking for some advice. i've just bought a 1959 landy that someone's "customized" with a series 3 body. am i right in thinking that s2 axles only had the one brake cylinder and that the steering arm ran to the bottom of the wheel (if you know what i mean).
also can anybody out there, preferably north wales/ north west help me find parts to do this up as it should be, 2a if not 2. my nephew kindly offered me a series 2 diesel engine, but when i asked him about the vehicle it came out of he told me he'd removed the engine with a gas axe and a jcb so not a lot left. thanks

If its 1959 its a 2 for deffo, one master cylinder complimenting both brakes and clutch. I don't understand about the steering arm bit. As for parts try Paddock spares in derbyshire and Land Rover orphanage down on kemble airfield, both are on t'internet.

Regards WP

thanks wp. i'm trying to find out if the axles are original series 2, regardless of what the log book says and i think i remember something about the steering arm being moved on series 3. it's been a long time since i,ve had a landy and trying to remember everything!

hi yella disco. caerwys is ideal, pass with a works van nearly every day. any more details greatly appreciated. i might even consider a scapper with a shot chassis if there is one out there somewhere. cheers
