Series 1 Disco / Defender 90

I currently have a series 1 disco v8 which has recently had a 2" lift kit fitted.

Can anyone tell me if this lift kit would move over onto a 90 defender ? Are spring rates alright etc?

Springs, shocks, dislocation cones etc will transfer over but the spring rates are different. Have you got castor corrected radius arms? - They come in 2 different widths so depending on the age of the vehicles they may not fit.

It may be worth transferring the complete axles over, especially if the 90 currently has drum brakes on the back

I swapped all mine over from my old disco to my defender, I swapped the axles as well as they were the stronger 24 spline ones...

If the defender is pre 94 (I believe) then it will be the 10 spline axles and worth swapping over

If the Disco is pre 94 it will also be 10 spline stuff however it should have rear discs as opposed to the defenders rear drums so could still be worth doing...
