How do I save a copy of the PM's i'm sending in my sent items??

they should automatically save themselves there.

Click on User CP (button on banner at top), left hand side click on Edit Options (under Settings and options), scroll down to Messaging and notifications, scroll down further to Private messaging and at the bottom of this box is Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default, put a tick in the box, then scroll right down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
That should do it.

User CP - edit options and scroll down.
