sensor in top of head ?

hi ive done a engine swap and in the new car theres no wire that gos to my sensor in top of the head, does anybody no what this is and do i need it, thanks, on top as in were the oil filler cap is but in middle of head ?

Hi on my 300 there was a sender unit almost in line with the center rocker cover bolt on the right had side as you look in to the engine bay, its a two wire sender and its for controling the egr valve, so its now redundant

They run fine without it being connected.

sensor in top of head ?
