Hi there

I'm assisting a relative selling a 1999 Land Rover Defender 90 TD5 Anniversary Edition(?). He’s reluctantly considering selling as he no longer drives.

Could anyone shed some light on where to sell and if this is the correct description of the model, particularly whether it qualifies as an anniversary/heritage model.

Vehicle Details according the owner :

      •     Year: 1999
      •     Model: Land Rover Defender 90

TD5 Anniversary Edition

      •     Colour: Cobar Blue (factory)
      •     Mileage: 230,000 miles
      •     MOT: Current and valid
      •     Modifications: Safety Device roll bars fitted
      •     Condition: Poor/fair but roadworthy

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Photos attached.

Thanks
Jim

No.

Anniversary year was 1998.
and you need a load more "meanigful posts " on here before you can go trying to sell stuff. Tis the roolz.

The Anniversary was introduced in 1998 ive seen a 2000 bronze green one, silver front bumper & grill
green seats & wheel centres. The other colour iirc was Atlantis blue or somit. Im sure they done a 4L v8 too ohhhh yer
He still cant sell it on here until he has 50 posts. It came with all the 50th driver pack/books/paperwork too.

Whats the reg number @Jimmyyy :)

Some people did dress their's up to look like an Anniversary, presumably thinking there was some cachet to it, and maybe some were still in stock and sold later than 1998.
Mine has it clearly printed on the V5C which is why I said OP needs to look at it.
Check out the specs of them here.
Mine is one of the Atlantis blue Discovery 300tdi ones.

Yep the 4L was the one, came in Atlantis Blue or white Gold, so where the bronze green came from who knows. But the flip-flop Atlantis blue does look green if the light is right,as that is what it flips to.

The dings are just characterful.... but the toher thing?

Cheers both for your input and setting me straight 😅

Yeah, V5 silent about anniversary so seems it’s not a 50th. Owner’s not really into details and seems been told in passing over the years could be anniversary.

I got confused too as colour looked right but those were V8 autos, and there was the Heritage TD5 in green too.

Trying to do owner a favour as he can’t drive it these days and not in a rush to get things moving on his own. Think he’d quite like the thought of an enthusiast taking it on to restore to former glory. Any ideas what it could be worth roughly.

Safety Devices cage looks decent but think it’s missing the back bar. Bit rough but runs and has MOT/service till October. Had some work done apparently - new rear door and subframe, clutch and radiator a while back, fresh speedo and light switch. That patch on the passenger door is from a bullet hole/break-in attempt apparently 😳 No heated rear window or rear wiper working anymore🤷‍♂️
