Hi all - I've not needed to post for ages, not been using the Classic LSE as much recently, but whenever I've needed it - no problems.

Took it out today first time for a week, stopped to check tyre pressures and while I was doing it (in park and idling) the sunroof opened about 70% all by itself! (Dumping a load of snow and ice into the cabin). Tried closing it and it worked OK and then opened again (right back this time) and wouldn't close. Various clicks from assorted relays, then regular 10-15 second clicks from the motor. Wound the roof closed manually, then after a few seconds it opened again.
Eventually pulled the fuse (B5) but the motor was still faintly whining so disconnected the plug. Wound the roof closed manually again.

Ran a couple of local errands and noticed when I got out (having removed the key from the ignition) that the brake pump was still running. Had to pull the plug in the pump to stop it.

Obviously electrical - sticking relays? - wondering if some water's got in and frozen (-5 last night here).

Anyone got any clues?

TIA - Alastair

Thanks Pete - yes B5 is deffo the fuse, but there's a relay in there somewhere, don't know if it's before or after the fuse, not had a chance to look at it much further but, there's other electrical strangeness . . .. I suspect maybe bad relay/s and/or bad earth somewhere.
I have Rave but its for softdash classics not the LSE, so locations, details etc can be different.

Locations can be a mystery on the Classics. I think you may have answered your own question; Pete is correct and I fear you might have to do a bit of tracing to the relays and the switch. Don't forget the switch :)

More concerned with the ABS problem now, at least the sunroof is closed and I can use the car if I can get the brake prob sorted.

The ABS pump runs all the time, even with the ignition off. Disconnected at the plug as I know it can burn out. Fairly sure it's the relay, but where the **** is it?

Rave mentions a black relay in the fuse box, but thats for a '95.

Owners manual shows where the fuses are at the side of LH seat but no clue as to which of the 3 adjacent relays it is.

Can Anyone tell me which relay it is? ('93 classic LSE 4.2)

THX - Alastair

Found it! by a process of trial & error. It's the rearmost of the 3 on the side of the LH seat. Was sticking, now isn't, and pump runs as necessary.

I may wait until the snow goes to tackle the sunroof.
