good morning everyone can some kind soul help me with a clutch problem,my clutch has started to slip for the last week or so,then while waiting to go at a level crossing i pressed the clutch and bang the slave cylinder decided to explode, anyway someone towed us out of harms way thanks col, i ordered and fitted the new master and slave, pressed the pedal and bang it broke the pastic collar off the slave cylinder!doh.£50 down the drain. getting under the car the clutch actuating arm is seized solid,....will this seizure be connected to the clutch slipping?do you think maybe the arm has not been returning fully(seized bushes?) allowing the clutch to slip.the clutch slipped at its worst first thing in the morning when cold then when warm it was ok.i think its time to take clutch apart but although im a decent mechanic(albeit on motorbikes) getting under the car doesnt fill me with joy,but as im skint its time to get dirty .....bugger. mark:confused:

definitly clutch sounds as though it has gone if you are going to replace it have a look at the flywheel while you are at it to save you doing all that work again and get a compleat clutch kit including release bearing

thanks for reply,im going to take box off and look at clutch although it wont be today as its its coming down sideways here in hull...it never rains always pours!mark
