Sedimenter Problem

Has anyone had the same problem as me? I'm trying to get my Sedimenter of my Discovery 1 but firstly i can't even undo the plastic drain plug and secondly, i can not undo the inlet fuel pipe. Is it me or is this a common thing.

no need to remove the whole unit to flush out, on top of the housing there is a 7/16" bolt, undo that and the bowl will come off. Never try and force the plastic drain tap as it will shear off.

Ya don't need to undo the fuel pipes.

Those placky drain taps are a menace. I didn't do mine up enough the first time I drained it and spent ages bleeding the whole system. The engine would run and then stop if the accelerator was pushed. Since then I have sheared it off, and it's staying like that!
